OUR INSPIRATION AND ASPIRATION : "… Poverty is not natural; it is man-made and can be eradicated by the actions of human beings." - Nelson Mandela

OUR VISION: "Be the Change"

OUR MISSION: "Women in action for socio-economic, political, and cultural justice"

WHO WE ARE: LEVE FAM is a movement dedicated to advancing the concept of sisterhood. Through this strength and synergy of solidarity among women, we aim to combat poverty, economic injustices, and social and political inequalities. We strive for environmental respect and to create an eco-responsible climate for sustainable development. LEVE FAM is a platform for the most vulnerable and marginalized in our society, primarily women, children, and the elderly. LEVE FAM is a movement composed of at least 200 members across the island, from various professional, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds, with a significant emphasis on including youth. We have been networking for over 10 years and decided to formalize our existence with an official launch on Saturday, May 25, 2024, celebrating Africa Day.

The movement was founded by Danielle Turner, with founding members including Suzy Coombes, Reshmee Luchmun, and Pazani Ramasawmy.

The organization is a network of individuals and organizations at the local and regional levels.
